Mumbo, Jumbo Gumbo Cook-off and Carnival Parade

The Manitou Springs Mumbo, Jumbo, Gumbo  cook-off  and Carnival Parade is March 5th.  The Gumbo cook-off is at Soda Springs Park; the contestants start cooking at 8:00 A.M. with public tasting at 11:00 A M..  The "Dancing in the Streets" Carnival Parade follows the Gumbo cook-off down Manitou Avenue at 1:00 Join  the revelry in the streets.





A special Mardi Gras Carnival weekend rate at the Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast is of $210 for a two night stay .We provide the  Mardi Gras beads and masks for the enthusiastic parade parade goers. Saturday's delicious morning breakfast will include a  slice of delicious King cake  decorated in the traditional colors of Mardi Gras and will get you in the mood. Sunday will be a"Big Easy" breakfast; enjoy a leisurely morning, jazz and great food.
