The Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast of Manitou Springs is honored to host the VIP reception for the Author Fest of the Rockies, September 30th at 6:00 PM.
Invitation only! Wine and appetizers, a taste of Manitou Springs as many local restaurants contribute to the event. The Colorado bed and breakfast will offer discount rooms for the authors as well as hosting the VIP event.
The Author Fest is celebrating its fifth year at The Cliff House October 1-2,2010.
For The Friends of the Manitou Springs Library this is the "event" of the nonprofit board as it works to fund raise for the Library, a 1910 Carnegie building. A statewide literary event, Author Fest is open to anyone interested in any form of writing or reading or the written/spoken word
The two-day event features over 50 Colorado authors who will present sessions on a wide variety of topics. Key note speakers this yearBruce Ducker,Carleen Brice,Cicily Janus, and Mark Obmascik.

Chick Crawl launches from the Avenue Hotel B&B
The Chick Crawl of Manitou Springs has selected the award winning Avenue Hotel B&B as one of the new launch sites on Saturday, September 18 at 6 p.m.. The historic Avenue Hotel B&B will offer a variety of homemade appetizers with Manitou hard lemonade.Guests will tour the property, relish the savories and head out for their night on the town with their first gift of the evening, a certificate for 50% off a night stay at the Avenue Hotel. Wow, one night for only $65 (valid for the next 6 months Sun - Fri.)
The girls night out event is designed to introduce women to the unique shopping and dining opportunities available in Manitou Springs. Participants receive refreshments, discounts, and gifts while visiting stores and dining establishments.
